The mission of Coral Springs Medical Center's Lisa Boccard Breast Cancer Fund is to provide funding for care that may otherwise be unattainable for the women in our community to obtain screening mammograms. The fund provides mammograms to indigent women; and last year alone, about 200 women were tested and 10 were diagnosed with breast cancer. Each year thousands of women die because they could not afford a mammogram. The Lisa Boccard foundation gives those women an opportunity to get checked.
